Burmese Daze - A Trip Through Burma (Myanmar) in 28 Photos
Burmese Daze Myanmar in 28 Photos Highlights Of Myanmar/Burma From A Tourist Eye eBook Elisabeth Sowerbutts
A photo may be worth a thousand words but a photo with a story is priceless. Reading this after visiting Shewdagon pagoda, I fully understand her note about pagoda overload having walked barefoot among thousands of Buddha statues. Visiting on a Saturday with local residents, pilgrims, and a few tourists, I gained an awareness of the active, prayerful role of the place though. (Happy people here remind me of Bali.). About the book, photos were carefully selected and briefly explained in a quick read.Product details

Burmese Daze Myanmar in 28 Photos Highlights Of Myanmar/Burma From A Tourist Eye eBook Elisabeth Sowerbutts Reviews
I really enjoyed the stories the author wrote and the spot-on pictures to illustrate them! Highly recommended, no matter if you plan to travel to Myanmar/Burma or if you are "just" an armchair traveler!
This quick overview of a trip to Burma was delightful.....I really felt like I understood her thoughts and feelings about the trip. As most adventure trips....there's good and bad. Just a quick read but fun and thoroughly enjoyable.
Meet the locals eat with them in their homes and with luck rent a room from your hosts. That's awesome and a genuine experience. You read this e-book and you're not looking for the insulated four star hotel you yearn for the 5 STAR uniqueness that comes from experiencing the people and culture. Please let me know when, where and you travelled and how you made your experiences exceptional.
The first five star I have given a picture book. Good information about each picture and location. Pictures not just copied off the internet. I enjoyed this book.
"Off beat" and "quirky" are two of my favorite travel words! I enjoyed the commentary that went with each of the pics that shown a more "normal life" than "postcard" quality as expressed by the author's own words as book was focused more on the people than the places. I also found the book featured some sound research as well like where to find cheaper accommodations, modes of travel and the like. Informative and interesting!
Perfect! I spend 40% of my time traveling but never have spend any real time in SE Asia. Am going to Bangkok next year and have a week free time. This told me what I wanted to know in plain simple terms. It was like I was sitting with a local guide having a beer. It helped me decide between more pagodas and Angkor What. I would gladly have paid $5 - $10 for this e book. Will look for future "quicky" books by Elisabeth and will gladly pay. Thanks for the opportunity to get this.
Each photo itself is not remarkable, but serves as a good teaser to the thoughtful remarks that follow. This is not a book by conventional standards, but a collection of travel logs. The style of writing is casual, at times, funny and poetic, thus genuinely appealing to this reader. There is no doubt that the author has a curious mind and a sincere appreciation of the country she visited.
